Created and managed fundraising events, including the coordination of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue, with more than 100 volunteers working multiple shifts over four days. Wrote press releases and interacted with local media to obtain positive publicity.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Monterey, CA, 2005 – 2008)

Grew $330,000 budget to more than $650,000 in less than three years through fundraising.  Managed staff of thre full-time and 20 part-time employees in addition to over one hundred community volunteers.  Key responsibilities included fundraising, marketing, and public relations.  Collaborated with developers to create a website supporting e-commerce.  Wrote all materials for website.

RECRUITER (Monterey, CA, 2004-2005)

Collaborated with hiring managers to locate the most qualified candidates throughout the United States.  Managed a requisition load of 30 or more at all times.  Reported to Senior Staffing Manager.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (Los Angeles, CA, 1992-1994)

Grew territory from $500K to $1.2 Million in Los Angeles and Southern Nevada.  Reported to District Sales Manager.

INSIDE SALES MANAGER (San Francisco, CA 1990-1992)

Trained inside sales (customer service) associates and supported District Managers with special projects and regional events. Reported to Regional Vice President of Sales.

Lee Hecht Harrison, (Telecommute  2002– 2004)

JOB DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Established the Western Region Job Development Program for Lee Hecht Harrison’s outplacement division.  Trained Job Market Consultants throughout the Western Region.  Created job fairs and events to connect the unemployed with corporations to support them in their job search.  Authored job development portion of website and online newsletters to hiring companies and candidates.

CAREER CENTER MANAGER (San Jose, 2001-2002)

Facilitated training sessions with mid to senior level laid-off professionals.  Trained jobseekers on how to locate a job through networking.

Niku Corporation

STAFFING DIRECTOR (Redwood City, CA, 2000 – 2001)

Established employment department from the ground-up within a fast-paced, software start-up company.  Managed staff of 15 employees and 9 independent contractors throughout the U.S. while maintaining my own requisition load.  Coordinated major recruitment advertising campaigns including writing all content for corporate employment site. More than 100 open positions at all times.

WEB PORTAL PRODUCT MANAGER (Redwood City, CA, 1999 – 2000)

Responsible for creating technical specifications for a contract job search engine.  Collaborated with development team (software engineers, product managers, usability and quality engineers to create an efficient functioning portal from scratch.
